North Idaho Fur Dressers
    Owners, Van and Diane VanCorbach, have been doing taxidermy and tanning, full time, since 1981 and every employee in the tannery has experience in the field of taxidermy.  The switch to full time tanning was made because we felt there was a need for a better tan out there.  We knew it was possible, and felt we had gained the knowledge to provide taxidermists with something better.  From what our clients have told us, we were right.

    Since we know taxidermy, and we understand what you want from a tanned hide, we treat each piece as if we were going to mount it ourselves.  We do not claim to be the fastest tannery, we will never be one of those tanneries that rushes all your hides through the process, however, we will be one of the best tanneries you will ever use.  The people in our tannery who shave your hides are not hired off the street one day, and shaving your customer's trophy's the next.  Our shavers have extensive training, it is not something learned overnight.  It takes many months to gain the skills to shave a hide, especially the detailed shaving that we do here.
